Bart E. Beals

Bart E. Beals is a Chicago native that has practiced law for over half a decade and has extensive experience in the areas of criminal defense and landlord and tenant matters. Mr. Beals path to a career practicing law was an untraditional one. He started out his professional career after college in the areas of sales and community advocacy. The importance of a dedicated advocate was thrust home on a personal level when he was unjustly arrested for a minor infraction that wasn't punishable with time in jail. The incident motivated Mr. Beals to go to law school to become a lawyer in order to protect the rights of ordinary citizens.

Upon graduation from Howard University School of Law, Mr. Beals started his practice at a top law firm in Washington DC. He then relocated back to Chicago where he practiced at a leading Chicago law firm and then later went on to establish a criminal defense practice with a friend from law school. He has acted as a first chair on several jury trials in felony cases in state and federal court. Mr. Beals also has experience with landlord and tenant matters that stems from working in the Office of General Counsel for the District of Columbia Housing Authority. Additionally, Mr. Beals also has worked on several jury trials in quasi-criminal matters in the District of Columbia.
